Course Overview

Presented by internationally recognised family therapist Professor Rudi Dallos, this 6-hour online course introduces the foundational theory and practice of Attachment Narrative Therapy (ANT)—a research-informed integration of Family Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Attachment Theory.

ANT targets the attachment system within families and provides a flexible therapeutic structure that can be adapted to various clinical presentations, particularly where children and adolescents are at the centre of concern. The model is organised around four key phases known as the Formats for Exploration, each designed to guide therapists in structuring sessions and supporting families through meaningful change.

This short overview course will offer participants a conceptual roadmap and practical insight into how ANT can enhance therapeutic engagement, family collaboration, and emotional safety.
