ACU Graduate Certificate in Family Systemic Therapy

The Graduate Certificate in Family and Systemic Therapy, delivered by WRFTC in collaboration with the Australian Catholic University, is a one-year, part-time specialist postgraduate training program, for professionals wishing to gain an introduction to working with families.

This program is the first year of the ACU Master of Family and Systemic Therapy. Students who complete Year 1 of the Master of Family and Systemic Therapy program are eligible to cease their studies at this point and exit with a Graduate Certificate in Family Systemic Therapy.

Course Overview

This program is appropriate for psychologists, clinical social workers, and other professionals already working in family-sensitive programs, who want to acquire greater conceptual and practical competencies, or to increase knowledge and clinical confidence. The course is designed for practitioners looking to develop a depth of expertise in Systemic and Family Therapy, increase the precision and quality of their clinical or therapeutic work with complex social-relational systems.

The prerequisite/corequisite for this course is completion of the WRFTC Four Day Intensive: Core Ideas of Family Therapy.
